This week’s project is Halloween themed in honor of the upcoming holiday. I made it just in time for Mady to wear it a few times before Halloween.

You’ve Been Boo’d!

I recently learned about this Halloween activity from a blog on the web.  You put together goodie bags and bring them along with a “You’ve Been Boo’d” sign and instructions to your neighbors’ houses.  Then you leave them on the doorstep, ring the bell, and run away.  Mady thought it was fun and wants to do more of them.  I told her we’d wait to see if we’d get boo’d ourselves – then we’d have to do it again.

Our goodie bags had an orange and black theme.  They were witches’ cauldrons. They included a bag of Cheetos and Reese’s Pieces.  And we also included some “Blood Orange” Italian Soda to wash it all down.

We used signs from boograms.com.  The Eat Drink and Be Scary image is from Craftily Ever After. (I ran out of ink and only had black, otherwise it would’ve been orange.)

After we did one, Mady wanted to include her own sign in the next drop off so she drew her own skeleton.  Isn’t she sweet?

Poor Rylan got left at home with Dad.  I didn’t figure I could run very fast with him in my arms.

Almost Halloween

Tonight we carved our pumpkins finally. It was Mady's first time. She liked pulling out the goo. Devon did a really fancy job on his pumpkin that has the Cheesecake Factory logo on it. It looks pretty cool. Nice job honey!
