Hunger Games T-Shirt – Silhouette Cameo

I am so excited for The Hunger Games movie! I had to have something fun to wear so I made a t-shirt (bought at Old Navy, buy one get one free) with my super awesome Silhouette Cameo. I used yellow flocked heat transfer material for the front and white flocked heat transfer material for the back.

Hunger Games-1

If you would like to use the studio files, I’ve posted them here. I made three different files as I made 5 shirts (my sisters had to have some too!) so I was trying to use the space efficiently.

The font I used was Bank Gothic Light. I thought it looked similar to the font they used in the movie posters.  You can download it here and copy it to your Windows\Fonts folder: Bank Gothic Light BT.ttf

There is also a Hunger Games font someone made, but it looks more like the book cover than the movie. http://www.dafont.com/hunger-games.font

Here’s a pic of me and one of my sisters in our cute shirts!

Christmas Home Tour

IMG_4677
Pillows in blue, brown, and pink. Yes, my husband loves the introduction of pink into our Christmas home decor! (NOT so much! I, on the other hand, think it’s fun and festive!)

My motto: Glitterize! Shiny blue, pink and green trees, some matching ornaments and the darling hot pink glitter deer I found at Hobby Lobby!

Hope you enjoyed this little tour of some of our Christmas decor! Happy holidays!

My Pinterest Project: Ghost Pillowcase Dress

This week’s project is Halloween themed in honor of the upcoming holiday. I made it just in time for Mady to wear it a few times before Halloween.

My Pinterest Project: Rainbow Cupcakes

Okay so this one is not really MY pinterest project, it's actually my sister, Tiffany's. Since I'm traveling this week, I thought my sister could fill in for me. Her daughter had her fourth birthday a couple weeks ago and Tiffany made these adorable cupcakes for her preschool class.  Didn't she do a great job? I'm super proud of her! She's craftier than she thought (I always knew she could do it!)

Recipes:
Mini cheesecake tarts – Devon made these. They were my fav.
Mini blueberry and cherry pies – Mady helped me make these!
Cake batter bark – This is what it’s supposed to look like. I used dark chocolate and white chocolate chips, maybe that was the problem?  I didn’t want to splurge on the expensive chocolate.  Or maybe it was the the freezing/cooling time, not sure. Mine tasted good, just wasn’t as pretty!
BLT salad – Devon made this.  It was a hit!

Yarn Wreath

I made this wreath over the weekend and love how it turned out!  I used this tutorial from Mrs. Priss.

Land of Nod Inspired Floor Cushions

These took me hours because I’m not that good at sewing but they turned out really cute!  I used the tutorial found here.

Birthday Balloon Wreath

This balloon goes up for the month of May for Miss Madylan’s birthday month! It’s huge and I’ve found that it sticks to the front door when it gets hot.  Whoops! Tutorial found here (mine is way bigger than the one shown and took a lot more than the number of balloons listed.)

Pink and Black Animal Print Taggie

I have two new nieces in my life.  They are so sweet!  Here are their taggies from Aunt Brandy!  I used this tutorial over at Joy’s Hope and left off the crinkle and made them a bit bigger at 12X12 instead. (Rylan likes to sleep with his so I don’t want them to be noisy.)
